Mary Rose MacLachlan
After Mary Rose graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English Literature, she thought, "What do I do now?" As an avid bookworm, it seemed natural to gravitate towards the book publishing industry. She began her career in-house at Prentice-Hall Canada, then moved to Penguin Books and Harcourt before going freelance. Since then, she has worked as a freelance picture researcher and permissions editor for many publishers, enjoying the diversity of the projects, and the challenge and joy of being part of a team that creates wonderful educational and creative content.

Derek Capitaine
Derek joined MRM Associates as a partner in 2010. He brings his love of photography and his database expertise to the company. In addition to researching pictures and tracking down copyright holders, he provides necessary administrative support and oversees the company's growing use of IT, which is now so essential.
